Hannah and Knoah's "Art Show"

Hannah has always had a wonderful aptitude to draw, paint and create. She has also always had a neat obsession with animals and particularly, "Dragons". So, a few weeks ago I found this book that taught you how to draw dragons and got if for her. Here are some of her first "renderings". As a nine year old I think that she is "amazing". Knoah is trying very hard to following in her footsteps and for a three year old who has had so many difficulties with his motor skills I think he too is pretty amazing. OK, truth is I think all three of my kids are the most amazing and spectacular children ever put on this earth, thank you very much!

Hannah's "Flying Snake Dragon"

Hannah's "Hot Day in the Sun Dragon"

Knoah's "Scoodle - Doo"

Hannah's "Hey, Fart Face Dragon"

Hannah's "Dad and Daughter Dragon"

Knoah's "Scoodle Dee Boo"

So, that is the art show from our weekend - 21, 22 and 23 May 2010. It was a wonderfully productive and happy time and I have a post for it but am holding on to it for now - remember the rule from my first post. Oh and just to be clear, Hannah helped by naming all of the art work.

Quiet Day . .

Today, less than a month into this whole "blog" thing I am violating one of my own rules. I am posting something without letting it sit for 48 hours. Good news is that what I am posting is simple . . Man, it's quiet without the kids around on a weekend and boy do I ever miss them!

Called them a couple of times, e-mailed a couple of times. Planted some flowers, did some work and took a walk in the woods (note the photo's above and below). But, I wish I would have been with them today. Of course, I also wish . . . .

You have got to be kidding me . .

Man, my Karma sucks! Ya know, I am remaining as optimistic as possible with not only my outlook but also desire to move forward in a positive manner but I must admit . . I am thinking my Karma needs and intervention!

Consider that in the last 18 months I have; lost a job, been laid off twice, had my pay cut by 40%, lost my kids dental coverage (which btw, I am now paying for monthly, thank you very much), been asked for a divorce on Christmas day, totalled my car (which btw; if you can prevent an airbag from going off in your face, do it . . having a broken sternum suck, honest), recently discovered that I am in default on two bills, been hit with a back hospital bill that I did not know existed and now . . (and there is an another, more serious issue going on that, frankly, I caused and am to blame for. I will be honest and discuss that issue once it gets "resolved", so to speak). . . .

After Jacob's concert I was driving my sister's Ford Windstar when the transmission went out. OK, I get that it is a mechanical failure and all but, gee, did I have to be behind the wheel when it happened!

Only one thing left to do . . search out someone that can perform and exoticism on my Karma . . But, ya know what, I think of the kids and somehow everything is alright . . must be the laugh, eh?
